I was trying to think of other times when I've had to do things totally inappropriate for what I'm wearing, but whenever I have to clean toilets or whatever in dress clothing, it pales in comparison to the times when my boss has had to swing into action in one of her saris.
Happened last night, actually. I was slammed at the front desk and she stopped by on her way to the latest Patelabration, arrayed in red and gold silk. And so that was what she was wearing when she, armed with a plunger, went up to a room to attack a clogged bathtub drain. I can remember her doing laundry on at least one occasion and cleaning a room on another while in her Indian clothes.
