  • How would you take this

I got an email from an admin for one of the people I have a ticket for.

    It says:

"(user) asked to advise you that he is in today by noon".

Does that mean he is in the office now and will be out by noon or that he'll be in the office by noon?

Guesses anyone before I ask for clarification?

I read it as he's not there now but will be by noon.

I'd read it as saying that he's not sure when he will be in, but he definitely will be by noon.

So the user will be in by noon. And...you're supposed to do what exactly?

After I posted this I went down to his office to see if he was in and he was. I told him for the issue he was having (BSOD) I was going to have to reload Windows (and al the appls) hich would take a few hours (we have a handy ghost image for this).

I told him if he needed it that day that I would need it ASAP since I had to leave for the field by noon. He said that he also had to leave by noon but could he give it to me at noon and have it ready on Monday.

Um, how am I going to install everything if I'm not in the office?
