  • Not being invited to a department lunch

So, most of my department all went out to lunch together.

Big boss man even asked the AA if she was going with them.

    No one asked me.

I'm a bit more upset about this than I think I should be. It's usually not a tight knit office.

I think you have the right to be upset. If Bossman had asked you to cover the department while everyone else went out, that would be a bit better.

Now, how badly do you want to know the reason why you weren't asked? Are you willing to go directly to him and ask? If you do, be sure to say that you understood it was a department lunch and you want to know if there was a specific reason you weren't invited.

Maybe you want to let it go to see if it happens again. It really depends on the relationship you have with Bossman.

You must now apply crazy glue or toothpaste (depending on how evil you are) to the toilet seats. Revenge is a must. Or you can just smile when they all come down with food poisoning and you are the only one who isn't a human fountain of filth and misery.
