*nothing really major, just felt like sharing*
The pastor's been out of town this week for a conference, so I've been handling the church's e-mail, and this morning we received something from a "Mrs. Rose Matthews" ..... basically, the "dying wealthy woman" version of the 419 scam. My usual responses to such e-mails aren't really appropriate for business addresses, so that one got deleted. (although I did save "her" contact info for later)
Then, I get some guy calling and asking to speak with the person in charge of cell phone services. I offered to take a message, but he wanted to fax the info to that person......he was given a fake number, and the name of a former pastor. I didn't mess with him for very long though, as he seemed to have a LOT of trouble hearing/understanding what I was saying, and it takes the fun out of things when I have to repeat everything several times.
