It turns out that the university laid off 2 employees in Visitor Parking/Community Relations. Now the only employee left in that dept. is "Kim". The job of Community Relations is to coordinate events being held in the meeting rooms on the 3rd floor, but since events are not held in those rooms on a weekly basis, who knows how long she will be employed full-time.
"Melissa" said her last day is March 30th.
"Kim" told me she will no longer be over the Visitor Parking garage last week. The Parking office & university police will be. I e-mailed "Larry", my direct boss, last Wednesday letting him know of this, but he has not replied. I do not know if he was even told.
I'm guessing the change will happen the beginning of April.
