Closing Checker Left Early
Yesterday, the closing checker left early due to a medical emergency. A couple checkers were asked if they could stay but they both refused which left us with no closing checker.
I ended having to cover the closing checker and the assistant store director was bagging for me. One customer wanted to know if anyone was available to open another register and the assistant store director mentioned that there wasn't. The customer mentioned that it was ridiculous to have to wait in a long line. The assistant store director mentioned that the closing checker had an emergency and had to leave early.
When my service desk coworker came back from break, the assistant store director had her open another register which she did. I was able to close first and I got the night crew till closed out and put it back out in the register for the night crew to use.
