When I first moved to the midwest I learned an important lesson. Your tornado warning siren sounds exactly like our missile warning siren.
Most older tornado sirens are actually repurposed civil raid sirens.

I'm kind of surprised the one by me hasn't gone off today, we're under a severe thunderstorm warning now.

I think it's noon on Saturday for the whole state. I've lived in 4 cities so far here, and it's always been the same (Ripon and the Fox Cities, anyway.)
I'll have to make an effort to listen for it this weekend.

Heard it today and thought of you, Becks.

Try living in small towns where the tornado siren also goes off at noon during the week.

          Fun times.
Still do that in my town in CT. It is at the fire house. It goes off for all calls for the VFD as a tradition because they all have pagers now and for tornado warnings.

            Ask her about Bonduel...
            I'm bringing disdain back...with a vengeance.

Oh, and your tool box called...you got out again.

Just today the city tested the Power Plant sirens that are all throughout my neighborhood...since the plant is only 5 miles away. I still have the heebies... it was pretty creepy. My dogs went batshit.

                I don't have a clue.

Even here in Green Bay we get the occasional noon siren.

Maybe it's every day and I manage to tune it out more often than not.

There are a lot of Wisconsinites on here.. omg.. i used to go to Green bay ever month for 2 weeks at a time.

Maybe customers here are especially sucky.

As a former Wisconsinite, I'll second that!
Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.
