yeah, in the military you gotta pee in a cup with someone (same gender) watching you the whole time.

And with my shy bladder, we'd be sitting there until the end of the universe!

I had to take one for my current job and while I won't say how I did it, it was at least my pee!

As an aside, it's actually now legal for him to smoke.

Wow, when I drug tested, I had a normal color but not enough so I had to drink a lot of water. It was crystal clear.

Those things were torture for me (detailed explanation in the TMI thread) when I was in Korea. I'd drink boatloads of fluid and barely make the line on the container, then spend the rest of the day going to the latrine every 15 minutes to try to get rid of the remainder.

As far as passing your drug test, obviously the best way is not to do drugs.

Even gas stations don't need the guy on the kill switch to be stoned, I'd imagine. Sure, it's not likely to be a problem, but unless you feel like reimbursing Texaco for the cost of a new station and all the fixings.... I'd not recommend it.

What you can do, is stop using for a while. If you pee hot, ask for a retest. So long as you really aren't smoking at the time, the delay in the turnaround process will most likely be long enough for the drugs to have passed out of your system unless you're exceptionally saturated. A haircut- cut it all off a week after you quit- is probably the only way to make sure you pass a hair test.

Honestly, I don't care what people do on their own time. I don't want anyone to feel like this is attacking people who smoke pot. But if you smoke pot, you can and will get in trouble for it if you get caught- and you should expect that, just like anyone else who goes to work intoxicated. Pot is simply an intoxicant that your body doesn't finish getting rid of nearly as quickly as it does alcohol.

I feel I should mention one thing about the retest that many might not know. Sometimes, your first sample is split into two or more containers and the retest will be a more sophisticated test on the second container of the origional sample. If this is the method of testing, you're still caught if the sample was hot.

When I applied for a job somewhere at interview they took two hair samples, a retest would have just been on the second sample (I didn't get the job so both were supposedly destroyed).

I don't do drugs, never have and probably never will but I love poppy seed rolls and would love to produce a false positive from those (as long as a retest cleared me!).

Hmmm. I wonder if poppy seeds would even show on a hair test, as those tend to be fairly sophisticated (and expensive!) even on the low end. I may have to ask around about that, as my inner science geek is twitching now.

He's got a huge soft spot in his skull from the time I pushed him off the porch railing when we were little kids. The doctor he saw was shocked he didn't have massive migraines all the time.

Not that he would need much in the way of an actual medical condition to get a card from that doctor...
