  • Someone having a bad day at work....

I was in the parking lot at my work yesterday lunch time and saw a car that had a semi flat tire. Still drivable - but in need of air fairly quickly. I didnt know who's car is was and as I was on my way to a training session, it slipped my mind to track the owner down and let them know.

Fast forward to the end of the day - I am leaving and pass the same car heading to my own. I see my co-worker, I will call her "J" removing a jack and such to change the tire.

(Note: the tire is still the same level as earlier, still drivable for a short distance.)

I wander over to her and ask if she needs any help.

I was not prepared for her response.

"WHAT!!! JUST BECAUSE I'M A WOMAN I DONT KNOW HOW TO CHANGE A TIRE?!!!"

    WTF???

FYI - I am a woman. Somewhat stunned, I just shrugged and walked away.

I think someone was having a bad day........

it's surprising how many people have flat tires and don't know it.
To err is human, to blame someone else shows good management skills.

But thats the crazy part! It wasnt FLAT flat. You could still drive it, but it was at that "oh - I better put some air in that" stage.

I have to say I am almost paranoid about the my tires. Too many years of changing tires in the dark in the middle of nowhere, so I am always checking them. It's a bit OCD I know, but haven't had a flat in 10 years either

I saw a guy in a mid 90s Cadillac Eldorado on my way to work yesterday.

Back left tire shredded, sparks flying off of the rim where it was hitting the road - and Cadillac alloys are NOT cheap (and I promise that one won't ever seal again). He was yakking away on his fucking cell phone oblivious to the fact that the car kept trying to spin out every time he slightly turned the wheel and ignoring people honking at him.
