I came to work yesterday morning at 7.00 to hear from my colleague that our brand new, big, flat-screen tv's that we got when we remodled a couple of months ago have all been stolen the night before, except on ward 1-North where apparently the entire night staff was gathered because none of them heard or saw a thing!
We had a tv on every ward and we have 6, so minus 1-North that means the 5 large flat-screen tv's were picked up and carried outside into some kind of waiting vehicle without anyone being the wiser.
It's all very suspicious, most of us think it was an inside job, for two reasons really, one because someone had to unlock the door for the robbers, and two because the robbers had to have a good idea of the layout of the old folks home and where the tv's were- not to mention they had to have had some contact from in the house to tell them when it was safe to come in, when everyone was gathered on one ward for example.
There are 5 staff in the house at night, ideally walking the house on all the floors, I have to wonder what they were doing then the night before last that could have let people come in and steal all our tv's when they were there!!?!
And the tv on my ward is sorely missed, we often play old movies and stuff during the day but now they're stuck listening to the radio- not a big hit...
Anyway. pretty sucky because we won't be able to afford new tv's till the insurance pays off so it could be some time.
Anyway, just wanted to share! Does anyone else agree that it must be an inside job? The doors lock automatically at 7.00pm and the night crew comes at 9.00pm and the tv's were noticed to be missing some time after 11.00pm.
