The payroll hours our store gets are determined by corporate but no one seems to know exactly how they are calculated.
Case in point: Our store does about the same volume of sales (dollar wise) as another store in the next county over, we are all in the same district and a general notification of hours is sent out so we get to see what the other area stores are given in relation to ours.
The other store almost always gets at least THIRTY more hours than we do.
My manager contacted our regional manager (you may remember this lady from some of my other posts). She responded by telling him which areas were looked at when determining hours, but said she didn't know exactly how they were calculated or why Store X got so many more than we did.
So in other words, she couldn't help my manager figure out needed to be done to get more hours for the store.
We're still trying to figure out exactly how to boost the hours they give us but so far nothing has worked.
