The worst job I ever had to do was one I gave myself...
That probably won you a ton of credibility with your employees. A good manager will NEVER ask an employee to do something they refuse to do themselves.

When I worked at a deli a few years ago, one of the closing jobs of the cashier was to clean the bathrooms. Typically I had no problem with this as it consisted of picking up the wads of paper towels that people were too lazy to throw in the trash can next to the sink. One night I go into the mens to clean and open the stall. In the toilet was the most disgusting mess I have ever seen. I swear the guy who used it ate a cow that day and the remains of it were in the toilet, clogging it of course. To top this off, there was a can of chew poking out of the top of the whole mess-I'm assuming it fell out of their pocket or they just ate it and pooped it out. So after grabbing a few plastic gloves used in prepping food, putting on the big yellow latex cleaning glove, and another plastic glove I fished it out and managed to get the toilet to flush without gagging too much.

One of the worst jobs I ever had to do was one I was not paid for. I wanted to go to vet school, so I needed to have so many hours working in vet offices, either as a nurse or something of the like. At one place, they worked me as hard as the other nurses, but didn't pay me since they knew I needed the hours. One time, I got to hold a flying squirrel as it got it's nails trimmed, and the bugger bit me, right through the pad of my finger. Took everything I had in me not to cuss with the owner in the room.

Also, when I worked at the zoo as a keeper intern, I spent a lot of time around excrement and the like. The smelliest was cleaning up after the big cats, nothing smells like feces from a meat eater. The worst, overall, though, was the ostriches. Big, nasty, aggressive birds who follow you around as you try to clean up the massive messes they make. Gah, I hated those birds.

When I worked at Menards, every time we had a snowstorm they called on me to shovel out the truck docks by receiving. This would usually take me about two to three hours depending on if someone was helping me, but most of the time I flew solo.

That, and every Sunday I'd have to crush all the used plastic wrap in the baler--sandwich it in between some cardboard so it doesn't get into the grooves you run the metal ties through. Anyway, nine times out of ten the stuff would have sand or dirt all over it and/or water dripping off of it if there was a rainstorm around that time. Nasty stuff.
