Don't know about the OP, but I am locked into the house. After the robbery where somebody sent a brick through the window next to the door and unlocked the door from the inside, we replaced our locks with double deadbolts. The house is all one floor, so exiting through the window is a viable exit in case of fire.

Haha! I know it sounds dumb.

But someone had gone out with two sets of keys for some reason (one that was attached to the car keys and then their own house keys) so the only set of keys were upstairs in my room. I didn't realise this until I went to open the door.

Also if there was a fire, I could have gotten out the broken patio door out the back. The door he was supposed to fix!
