That was a big suprise.
This is a new thing where I work. The management worked out a complicated points system, involving points for getting mentioned in the mystery shopper's report, points for punctuality, points for low cash variance on the tills, points for doing things above and beyond (cleaning up sh*t and the like).
Well I didn't really do anything above and beyond, I wasn't working when the mystery shopper came in, so I don't know how I got it.
One of the managers was asking me about it, and I said I thought it was rubbish and it would go to a suck up, or someone who begged for points for doing things that were really part of the job. She told me that I would think differently if I won it.
I pretty much think it is poor that one person gets a reward for hard work when there are others who work just as hard.
Anyway, I get a £30 bonus and a meal voucher for the restaurant next to the cinema.
