    Job offer IN HAND!

    I hadn't posted any of this in the public forums because I didn't want to jinx it, but I've been interviewing for a full-time job at Sandman's company, and I just got the call a short time ago that I got the job! I still need to pass a drug test and a background check and go through all the standard administrative paperwork but assuming nothing comes up (and it shouldn't) my tentative start date is Monday November 8! And I will finally be rid of The Don and the Bent Staple for good!

    Oh yeah.....50% more per hour than I'm making now and it's full-time with lots of potential for overtime.

    Our own Sandman gave me the initial referral so I'd like to give him a public shout out for this! Sandman you are THE MAN!!!

              Thanks everyone! I already have my notice written up, printed, signed, and will be turning it in first thing in the morning.

                  Not to be a killjoy but The Don is in Florida this week at a company sponsored drinking binge GM seminar called "Insipid Inspired Selling" so he's not even gonna be around to see me turn my notice in.

                              Reactions so far:

                              Focker - nothing, but he was the only one who I'd kept in the loop since I put him down as a reference, so he already knew. Putting in my notice only made it official.

                              BS - Didn't give a flying fuck, though he said "congratulations"

                              Cashier K: "Are you serious???"

                              Amanda: "Oh my God! It's so sad everyone's LEAVING! I want to have cake on your last day. I'll come in just to have cake."

                              Focker also took the "employment verification" call today so I know they've started the process behind the scenes.
