  • Woot more good news!

Just got a call from the local pulp mill to go do my aptitude testing!

If i pass, and pass the interview it means $60,000-80,000 a year, with the best benefits you can get, production bonuses and a union job that it is IMPOSSIBLE to get fired from after your 40 days (no seriously...even the guy caught with 20 grams of coke didnt get fired...just rehab and a bit of jail time)

Im excited, this will allow me to pay for my wedding, the wife and i can get our own place, and we will have enough money to do what we want, plus i can put some away to fund my musical endeavors

Well more good news today, my EI was FINALLY approved, with some back pay as well!!! Means in a few weeks i get monaaaaaaah!

Also, a local ISP/phone provider was looking for techs, and apparently i passed the aptitude test with such a high score they called me today (just did the test yesterday) instead of making me wait a week.

At the same time i have finished the aptitude tests for the pulp mill and should hear next week if i passed or not. So i put off the phone interview for the ISP company until monday at 3:30!

Kind of nice to go from bad luck, to worse luck, to finally seeing an end to living in my parents basement with my fiance and 2 kids, and having 2 legit job offers worth 60-80K a year, both offering wicked stability.

Im really aiming for the pulp mill job though, there is more room to move up there. My dad started where i will be, and after 15 years of applying himself, now makes 150k+ a year, not including the 30-70k bonus he gets for production every year. So theres way more room to move up the ladder. Plus they will pay for any education i want that will help them out and progress my career. They will even pay me my full wage while in school.
