I applied for a pharmacy tech position in my store. Normally, I would think that all sorts of already-qualified people would swarm the position, but I lucked the fuck out with it just being an "in-store opportunity." Only being offered within the store.
I found out yesterday that I got it, but I couldn't tell anyone yet because the others who had applied hadn't been told they got it yet. So I bounced around the store for the rest of the day trying to contain immense glee until the store manager finally congratulated me.
I actually jumped around upstairs for a while.
I realize that with the pharmacy, I'm opening myself up to a whole can of shit with the insurance issues and grumpy, sick people, but... ANYTHING has to be better than the front end at this point.
