So I found a contingent job as an ambulette driver with cross-training as an EMT-B. Basically, I am not guaranteed hours so I am going to work abut ten hours a week in my retail job. I will quit the retail job by December when my paycheck from the fire department comes. If I was paid weekly, I would quit my retail job and live off of the fire department and ambulette. Plus I will be bumped to paramedic after I am licensed (probably August 2012).
Only downside is that their pants are gray. No one I know makes gray EMT pants in the women style.
