Apparently, it is a Berserk Button.
I was in Burger King and waiting patiently in line to order my bacon double cheeseburger when this woman came barrelling up to the front. Several people protested that she was pushing in, but she ignored them. "You idiots! You made me the WRONG BURGER! I don't want that shitty burger, I wanted a CHICKEN BURGER!" she bellowed at the teenage server.
She was standing right by me, practically foaming at the mouth. I was feeling a bit cranky as all I wanted was my junk food fix so I said, loudly, "First world problems."
She turned on me and yelled, "It's none of your fucking business! Do you work here or something?"
I replied, "No, but I at least know that if you're polite to the staff when a mistake is made, you're more likely to get a result."
At that point, lots of other people in the queue started commenting, saying it was a shame etc. This woman in the queue said to the woman, "My son's about that age. If anyone shouted at him the way you did, I'd tear them a new one."
The SC, outnumbered by those who were able to fight back, muttered, "Fuck this shit. I'm going to McDonalds," then left.
I know, it was a bit rude of me to say that, but seriously? Your burger's wrong? That is first world problems. There are people out there struggling to stay alive, so there's no need to go rabid over a wrong order.
