So we took my mother out for a meal as it was her birthday recently. We went to a restaurant we've been to quite a few times before in fact my mum knows a few staff members quite well.
We all sit down at our booked table and I and two others had bought bottomless drinks we informed the waiter Manuel this when he came for the others drinks order. The drinks took a little while but we thought little of it was we were chatting away. Then he brought them and took food orders we had to repeat ourselves a few times and show him items on the menu, but we hadn't seen him before and put it down to him being new. Then we had call him back as he had missed one of our party's order.
Our meals turned up and we quickly realised that my sister's order hadn't come, so we called him back again informed of this and he apologised and came back a couple of times again to apologise and blame the kitchen. Then her meal was brought out I had run out of drink and my sisters was low so I asked for a refill and my sister said "the same again" this was heard as a San Migel...so that had to be taken back and a bottomless drink brought.
By this time my mother was upset at the mistakes being made and complained to the Manager Allen who asked mum was it Manuel to which she confirmed. Dinner was eaten and enjoyed as the food there is very nice. We decided to have dessert and we were joking about what would go wrong this time. As it turned out two of the desserts where completely the wrong type rocky road instead of cookie dough...
Mum got very upset and our friend L went and talked to the manager again he just looked at her and said Manuel? She nodded and told him about the things that were wrong. He gets everything wrong, oh I shouldn't say that. L inquiried into how long he had been there a month she was told, we had thought a week at most.
In the end Allen comped us all the desserts, the meal that was late and my mums meal. Also he took off the bottomless drinks that we shouldn't have been charged for. That waiter cost the company £60 on our table alone. I do not think he will be there much longer.
