    Protege is very correct!

My family was dirt poor growing up, and our house was never a dump and our grass was always cut and we never piled garbage multiple stories high like some of the people who I've had as neighbors or people who lived in the neighborhood around the gas station I worked at.

It's only the ghetto if people MAKE it the ghetto. If it's a neighborhood with older, withering buildings, but with decent hard working people, that's one thing. When you take that neighborhood and throw in drug addicts, people who love to fight for no reason other than to stir the pot with everyone, people who cannot stop getting pregnant and cannot stop popping out children, and people who do nothing to contribute to society except leave a bunch of garbage sitting on their porch while they do drug deals and put their children's lives in danger and start fights with rival neighbors.......you get the picture.

That sounds like my old neighborhood so very much......it smells so much better where I live now.
