Well, I ended up being EXTREMELY sick last night (all night, joy) and yet still dragged myself in to work this morning with a raging headache, mild fever, and I've apparently caught the cold my daughter's been going around with...
Staying FAR away from KFC from now on.

Gross. Do you really think it was KFC's fault? How much stuff did the finger licker touch?

It wasn't just the finger licker. It was the general uncleanliness of the restaurant, combined with the fact that no one was washing their hands, and the fact that I had some unidentifiable, inedible sauce on my chicken (I ended up eating three of the boneless wings out of the twelve I'd ordered before I gave up and threw the rest out). I'm convinced it was the KFC, since I'd had nothing else to eat yesterday.

I think a letter to Corporate might be in order. If that KFC is being mismanaged, Corporate will want to know about it so they can fix the problems before that store gives the whole company a bad name.

I do hope you feel better soon, tollbaby. Food-borne illnesses are awful.

I did write to corporate, in fact. This isn't the first time I've gone into this KFC and noticed that the counters were dirty and the employees weren't killing themselves to keep the place clean. Ironically, corporate sent me an e-mail back saying they were sending my letter on to the location, and that it would be followed up from there. Joy.

errr I would if I had been able to save a copy of it. Unfortunately, it was one of those form contact things, and I didn't copy-paste it to anywhere.

Anyway, I haven't heard squat from the location, and I don't expect to. Moot point, but I won't eat there again. (that's McDonald and KFC down... *sigh* good thing I prefer ethnic fast food, like Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Lebanese, Greek & Mexican).

Like the one across the street from the hobbyshop. I haven't had A&W for years, I should go over there sometime....*mouth watering*
I absolutely flip for the cheese curds you can get only at the KFC/A&W locations. Seriously, those things are freaking amazing!

Well, it certainly wasn't spicy, and it was a lot thicker than any hot sauce I've ever seen... Either way, it's given me hella indigestion, so I'm steering clear from now on. I'll get my boneless wing fix in Ontario, where it's safe LOL
Probably Teriyaki. Your description sounds about right.

Didn't taste like any teriyaki or duck sauce I've ever had. It was literally flavorless orange muck that was really salty. It had NO flavor at all. (teriyaki has a bit of sweet & sour flavor to it, so does duck sauce). It was like they'd emptied the grease trap under the fryers and put THAT on the chicken. 'Twas gross.
