I used to work for a men's big and tall shop.

In a lot of cases, certain brands came in both XL and 1X.

1X typically has more room in the stomach.

Even now, my mother is convinced that a 1x and a XL are two different sizes.

I don't know the name of the company, but there is at least one out there that makes button-down shirts according to bust size. So the DDs can button without gaps and the As (like me) don't have a ton of extra material on the sides. I've never tried them, though.

      Want name. Find, please?

I love button down shirts, but I have to either get them in a larger size or in the men's department if I don't want those unsightly gaps between buttons at the bust. It doesn't help that I have a wide back to go with the large bust.

Personally, I wish they'd just go with damn measurements and quite with all the flipping guesswork in sizes. Especially when the sizes aren't consistent from brand to brand, and actually change within the same brand year to year.

G cup here. I make my own. (I'm actually working on a bra right now - basting pieces together between responding to posts.)

But yeah - company that makes shirts specific to the bust sizes and measurements? Name please!

Reminds me of my mom who is 5'0" tall and to this day anytime she sends me a shirt it is never bigger than a medium or large. I'm 6'2" and 260 lbs BTW. When I mention the size her response is always..."Well it looked huge when I held it up."

One day I was shopping in a department store with my wife. She wanted to try on something that was on a mannequin. A maintenance person had to come over to remove it from the mannequin, and replace it with something else. (They don't like customers messing with expensive, apparently easy to break, mannequins.) As I chatted with him, we noticed the size he was putting on the mannequin wasn't 1X or 2X, but 0X. He remarked about not seeing that size before, calling it zero-X. I told him he was mistaken. It was not zero-X but "ox". It took him a few minutes to recover from the laughing fit before continuing to reassemble the mannequin. He then invited me to come to work there because he likes that sort of humor.

God, I'd love the name of a company that sized shirts based on the bust. I haven't been able to wear a button down shirt with all the buttons buttoned since high school. I have quite the array of colored tanks to wear under shirts that I have to start buttoning after my boobs.

It either that or buy huge baggy shirts and take them in on the sewing machine.

I opt for the camisole and cardigan method... Still annoying.
