    If I worked a burger joint and a person came up and insisted she wanted a burger with cheese but not a cheeseburger, I'd just ring up a burger with cheese added. It'll usually cost more than just a cheeseburger, but if that's what the customer wants, that's what the customer gets.

    Of course, if the register has no "add cheese" button, then that's a whole other issue.

      Yeah, that ordering method is odd

      You'd mainly only find "real" Tomato Pie (as opposed to the stuff with an actual pie crust) in areas with large Italian populations. The no-cheese variant is strictly a Providence RI thing it seems.
