Sunday's after a holiday weekend means backed up traffic which often stops. All it is is people going home. That's it. No, there's not an accident. No, the road is not closed. And no, waiting around for a whopping 15 minutes will not help you. There are simply too many people on this road.
And the main reason? The frickin passing lanes! It's a two lane highway for the most part but once the traffic hits those passing lanes they all crowd up there and then create a bottleneck of merging which is what causes the traffic to be stop and go for miles. I swear if the CHP would get a clue and block those off the traffic would flow perfectly.
BUT, that's not the only reason. You see if they would just have common sense and merge correctly, one car after another, it wouldn't be quite so bad but NOOOO ...... these idiots can't be bothered to figure that one out. You see, they believe they will get home that much faster if they speed up and cut off as many cars as they can who are, rightfully, attempting to merge. I truly understood road rage yesterday.
