  • This is what happens when you act like an asshole.

Even though this happened to me at work the person in question wasn't a customer, that I know of.

At the end of my shift today I was taking the garbage out. For whatever reason we accumulated a FUCK LOAD of trash today. We have five garbage cans (one for customers to use, one for the used grinds and three others behind the counter). Normally when I take out the trash at the end of a morning-afternoon shift I only have to empty two of them, but today I had to empty all of them.
I attribute this to the possibility of last night's closer forgetting to empty the trash because there is NO way that we could accumulate that much in only five hours. And of course far be it from my manager to have the slightest amount of foresight or courtesy to empty the trash when she got in in the morning.
    But I digress.

In addition to having so much trash it was heavy as all hell, meaning I had to use the wheely trash can to take it out instead of just carrying the bags like I normally would.
Also, not all of the bags would fit in the can so I had to carry one.

Let me paint a picture for you. We have no back door at my work, meaning we have to make a three minute walk to the dumpster. That's annoying enough on its own, but today it is devastatingly windy, so much to the point where even though the trash can was so heavy I could barely pull it the wind was still pushing it from side to side, making pulling it that much harder.
I also have another heavy bag in my hand.
Near the dumpster there is also a small parking area, with a driveway leading up to it. I always walk close to the wall, and the driveway is wide enough for two cars.

So I'm walking down the driveway to the dumpster and I hear a car behind me. I move closer to the wall and look behind me to see that the car has enough room.
The car inches behind me. I wave them past.
    They don't go past.
    They honk.
I put the bag down, stop walking and wave them past.
    They honk again.
I flail my arms like a lunatic and shout, "You have room! Go past me!"
The driver rolls down her window and yells back, "YOU'RE IN THE FUCKING WAY! MOVE!"
Oh hell no. I move into the centre of the driveway and veeeeeeeeeery sloooooooowly make my way to the dumpster, all the while the driver is honking and revving her engine.
Am I deterred? Hells no, I'm only encouraged.
So I "drop" the bag and "drop" the trash can.
Uh oh, now I have to put AAAAALL the heavy bags back into the trash can and UH OH IT'S BLOWING AWAY! Do I run to get it? Noooo, it won't go far.
I slowly load everything back into the trash can and continue my sluggish trip to the dumpster.

That little outburst cost that bitch five minutes of her life that she'll never get back.

Bravo! The only thing that would have made it better is if you had stopped to tie-both-shoes or pull out the cell phone and had one of those "So, what are you doing" conversations.

Bravo and Brava, I've always wanted to do that whenever people yelled at me.
