Um... RK... I hate to say this... but you still missed.

Twenty-'til-Three is twenty minutes before three... therefore Two-Forty.

    Sorry.
    See? SEE??

It used to bother me when that sort of thing happened. Now I just chuckle and move on. It helps knowing I'm not really losing my mind.

Yeah. They loved me in math class.

I've always had trouble with analog clocks, but otherwise excelled at math (I was in the advanced math class in high school). It just takes me a while (and a bit of counting) to figure out what exactly the analog clock is reading. Though I've trained myself to have a vauge idea of time just by the hands' position. But if someone were to ask me what the clock says exactly, I have to count it out.

      RK, I feel for you.

Back OT, I had a boss that would state time like "twenty of eight". Okay, that makes no sense to me. Does that mean twenty before or twenty after?

"Twenty 'til eight" and "twenty after eight" make sense to me, but "twenty of eight" could go either way.

Would've been better if he just said, "7:40" or "8:20", whatever the hell he meant.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
