I tend to avoid medications as much as possible, simply because in most cases, they either don't work for me, or have undesireable side effects.
NyQuil and Neo Citran are fine, if what I'm after is sleep. Take one or the other (Preferrably Neo Citran, the 'Green Death' doesn't knock me out fast enough for me to not taste it) and not make any plans.
But otherwise? Non-drowsy ANYTHING doesn't work. Cough syrup just makes it that much nastier when I DO cough. Sudafed...
Wow... I see pretty colors on Sudafed. I took it once in college, and my friends promptly confisctated my car keys for the night.
But, I know full well the stupidity of fashion. I went to college in the interior of BC, in the Cariboo... and while not the arctic circle by any stretch, it WAS cold, and there WAS snow. One of the girls in our group insisted on running around in open sandals and bare feet. I grilled her on it once, and she complained for the umpteenth time that her feet were freezing.
Me: Why don't you wear some socks or something?
Girl: You can't wear SOCKS with SANDALS!
Me: Then wear something OTHER than sandals?
Girl: But the sandals are the only thing I have that goes with this skirt!
I just kinda shook my head and gave up at that point.Check out my webcomic!

last year when I was sick I took sudafed and stared at the wall for hours, it was lovely. This year nothing, medication just doesn't do much for me.How was I supposed to know someone was slipping you Birth Control in the food I've been making for you lately?

IANAD, but I wouldn't advise overdosing on NyQuil or anything with ibuprofen in it. My sister's doctor went white as a sheet when she told him how much Motrin she was taking for pain, since ibuprofen isn't good for your liver or kidneys, to put it mildly.
I suppose it's not surprising that most of the horror stories where people have renal failure involve NyQuil rather than say Advil. Gotta love medicine that comes with alcohol included, even if that combo leaves your liver begging for mercy.

difference with od vitamin c and nyquil is that vitamin c doesn't have the potential to send you to the er.
as for this cold, i'm questioning it; sounds more like he was looking for a cheap high to me.look! it's ghengis khan!
Sorry, but while I can do many things, extracting heads from anuses isn't one of them. (so sayeth the irv)
