  • Dear Mom: You Failed

Today I "met" my FIRST SC. I was helping a church, wrapping presents at an Amazon DC, when a gift came through with a tag that said, in part: "I'm having the robots at Amazon wrap it". Boy, was it tempting to "lose" his gift.

I've seen the stories here about this before, but this was my first encounter with this level of condescension. I've met people that are a pain to work with, but they at least acted like I was human.

My hat's off to anyone that can take this on a regular basis.
Happiness is 30k# in the trunk.

I'd have included another tag saying "Merry Christmas from a robot at Amazon."

I wonder if he actually thinks robots wrap the present.

I'd have been tempted to not wrap it, then include a message that read, "Robot unable to read instructions. Wrap fail."

I would have totally done that.

I don't know if I should say this or not, especially being pretty new here, but, it honestly never occurred to me, that real, live people actually wrap that stuff...

Kudos to you for doing a good job , I am the worst Christmas/Birthday/Easter/Whatever present wrapper ever, and if not for people like you, my gifts would always end up using up 5 rolls of tape, and at least 8 rolls of wrapping paper... each....

I would've done those as well.

I wish I could afford to have other people wrap gifts for me.

I hellaciously SUCK at wrapping presents. It's a joke within the family.

                    Sometimes I feel bad, though.

                      wtf?

i usually just have my message read something nice like <3 and happy birthday or merry christmas.

i'd be ashamed to send my family a package with something nasty and rude like that written on it. cos i know they'd be offended too!
