Yesterday, January 7, I was in my local Walgreens where whatever was left of the Christmas items was reduced by 75%. The little bit of nothing that was on the shelves had been pretty searched through.
A woman had found a red garland she liked and had pawed through (i.e. made a mess of) the rest of the stuff looking for more like it. When she found nothing, she stopped an employee and asked if the store had more of the garlands "in back". The employee almost cracked up, but told her everything the store had left of its Christmas stock was on those shelves.
The woman then asked if she could have a rain check, and could not seem to get why the store would not give her one.
