  • Overheard at Wamu (Washington Mutual)

I went to Wamu (Washington Mutual) after work today, & overheard this customer waiting in line. She was behind me, & noticed one of the employees who was closing down her station. She knew her by name. Here is what happened.

    sucky customer: sc
    Wamu employee: Jackie

    sc: "Hi Jackie"
Jackie: "Hi" *she is busy counting money & doing her closing procedures*
    sc: "You are closing down?"
Jackie" Yes, my shift has ended"
sc: "So you are not a dedicated employee?"
Jackie: *continues to count money & complete her closing procedures; laughing* "Well...actually I'm already late"
    sc: .....
Jackie: "I stay late Monday through Thursday, but I go home on time on Friday's"
    sc: .....

But she must serve the SC first! WAHHHHH

I guess the SC has never wanted to go home before.

My company considers you dedicated if you follow procedure and go home on time so you don't eat up payroll.

I want to make a joke about WAHHH and the Washington Mutual's name, but I can't think of a good enough joke.
I have a...thing. Wanna see it?

Not to mention actually showing up on time for any and all scheduled shifts.
