Aside from the "nuts" one, I think my two favorites have to be these:

a> "Not a Step" -- commonly written on the small plastic platform attached to many ladders which is meant to hold cans of paint. Said platform does not even look strong enough to hold the paint itself, let alone a human being.

b> "Do not sleep in" on dumpsters and -- at grocery stores, on cardboard balers. To hose unfamiliar with the latter, they are large, box-shaped devices used to compress large volumes of cardboard boxes (typically weighing over a thousand pounds) into smaller units that can be carted off with forklifts. If anyone took a nap in one of these things, I would wager that it could very well be the last nap they ever have ...>_>

I've seen the "choking hazard, not for children under age 3" on a packet of condoms.

b> "Do not sleep in" on dumpsters
About five years ago, a homeless man was killed after the dumpster he was sleeping in was emptied into a truck and compacted.

            On a cruise ship:

"Passengers are reminded that it forbidden to fish or crab from the open decks."

Sounds reasonable until you notice that the lowest open deck accessible to passengers is a good 7 stories above the water.

Well.... if you think about it. A curling iron is the general shape and size necessary. Plus, it can be heated. I'm sure there's lots of people who have tried using it internally.

I heard a rumor that female inmates use them on their prison bitches...

                    I

                    WHY WE ETHNICALLY MONITOR.

Underneath is a picture of Denzel Washington.

                    Nothing else. At all.
He was in a movie where his 5 year old kid needs an organ transplant. The hospital refuses the transplant because Denzel's family is poor and black. So Denzel loses it and shows up at the hospital ER with a gun and holds a bunch of people hostage til the hospital promises to give his kid the transplant. It may have been based on a true story, but I can't remember for sure. No I don't remember the name of the movie.

You mean there really is some reason behind the notice ? I'm not sure if I'm pleased or disappointed.

If that is the thinking behind it it isn't made clear. I don't know the film - but from my mother's description it's just a picture of him and I don't think I'd be that likely to work out a film I did know from a single picture of one actor in it.

If that was the meaning they could have chosen a still clearly in a hospital for a start. But is it really a good idea to reference films where people hold up medical staff if you work in a hospital ?

Hmm, I'm even more puzzled now.

Even more puzzling; In the movie, he takes the staff hostage because his insurance denied the funds because the procedure was too expensive. I have no idea how "ethnic monitoring" is supposed to have any relation to the actual plot of that movie.

                            ^-.-^
