Vaguely related, I just figured out why I'm always so shocked when people show up at the end of the aisle coming from my right, and I'm not expecting them... if they're close enough that I could've run into them, they are walking on the wrong side of the aisle. Luckily, however, I can stop on a dime when shopping... so I've yet to run anyone over.
