So yesterday I went to krogers to get the mama cat some food(why is it always krogers with me).As I'm walking back to the car I see a kid about 3-4 years old pushing one of those kids cart down the middle of parking lot by himself(it was also full of bags of food).Of f**king course his lovely mother was all the way down the parking lot standing by the car screaming at him to "hurry up why are you so slow)Probady because he is 3 years old.She had to be 100 feet or more away from him,and did I metion he was 3-4 years old. Anyways here comes a car barreling ass fast through the parking lot right at the kid. The mom sees this and still just stands there and yells "hurry up will you"
So me being me walks over behind the kid and starts trying to ease him over to the side,not being too obvious so it doesn't look like chester the molester.The car passes and the worthless mom is still screaming "hurry up" I swear I wanted to slap the shit out of her so she would shut up.She was screaming at the top of her lungs.This kid would have been killed he was so small. I mean I'm all for kids learning to do things but come on.

I'm genuinely surprised that she ponied up to the task of yelling, after all, she's just so busy and she's raising (insert number slightly larger than the truth) kids, and blah blah blah blah blah....

I was in a situation like that once except I was the one with the reversing car. I was parked next to a pole and a big suv, so I very slowly started to creep my way out to make sure I didn't hit any cars or people, when this not so caring mother let her possible 2 year old just run in front of her and directly behind my car. I was very lucky not to knock the kid down as I had seen a flash of something in my passenger side mirror and had stopped only to see a kid who I could not see out my back window, flash past my drivers side window. I stopped because it had scared the hell out of me that had I not seen that flash I could have run over them. The mother who was a good 30 seconds behind her kid just glared at me and yelled at me to be more careful, I was so upset I rolled my window down and said maybe she should also learn to be a good parent. It truly scares me that people like that get to have kids.

Why not that sounds specific enough. A 3 y.o. can easily get run over in a crowded parking lot. What is that egg donor thinking?! OTOH, I answered my question--she wasn't.

As I read the OP it looks like it was a "kid's cart", i.e. a small cart with very little space for groceries. In my local store a kiddy cart has room for, say, a gallon of milk, and that's it. And sometimes small kids DO get a positive experience of "helping out" by shopping like the grown-ups.

Having said that, if/when I'd took my littlun out for shopping (he's also almost 3 y/o) and he got to push a kiddy cart, I'd be right beside him ALL THE TIME, in the store as well as outside the store, to prevent accidents from happening.
