    Re: Friendly's.

My story is that when my family was in Plymouth, MA, we had lunch at a local friendlies, due to apparently nothing else being open. Our server LEFT, apparently without mentioning that my family hadn't been served.

Our local Friendly's is pretty good, but I have been in some that really leave a lot to be desired. I'm guessing a setup like Wal-Mart: Your experience will vary greatly based on local store management.

personally i feel you have every right to complain.

i understand your desire to not mess with someone who handles your food....

but at the same time... if you order a specific item, and they agree to sell it to you, then you have the right to expect they will serve you that item.

so... yes, if you order a tuna sammich and you get turkey-bacon then yes you have a right to complain.

        and the chocolate....
what would have happened to your friend if... a bit of the chocolate had been eaten before realizing it was in the dessert? anaphylactic shock perhaps? the restaurant would have been liable for the medical bill and damages since your friend never ordered chocolate... but your friend could have also died.

which says to me... you have a very good reason to complain to them.

        and Friendly's....
The one in my hometown, i've always had good service at. (but of late i think that's also because they haven't had a lot of customers)

the one in Virginia Beach... i went there twice. the wait was insane (over an hour for ice cream cones) and if i remember it was pretty rude. never went back to that one again
