So long as it's not a FishMalk.
In all seriousness, there have been several (occasionally publicized, but primarily anecdotal) incidents where Twilight fans and Twilight non-fans have put one another into the hospital, and, while I'm normally apathetic towards various crazes, I cannot for the life of me tolerate Twilight.
Sure, it gets people to read, but when the main character is a blatant Author Avatar MarySue, it kinda makes me shudder in distaste, and ask if it would be a service to humanity if every one of those books were rounded up and treated to a proper effect of a Vampire in Sunlight.
Sorry if this veers into Fratching Territory. But, well, If I get yelled at or assaulted because I choose Not to (or choose to) read/watch something, well, it gets me irritable, to say the least.
