Sounds more like he's ill enough to need treatment, but not ill enough to know he needs treatment. Or he's ill enough to be paranoid about getting treatment. I think that's the main cause of homelessness in my city -- people who are too ill to take care of themselves but who can also still say "I don't want to be stuck in the hospital".
Mental health care needs a lot of work, still.
.... and I came damn close to Fratching on the main board.
    Seshat's self-help guide:
    1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
    2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
    3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
    4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

Yes, Virginia, there is a real Baker Street Santa.
I question my sanity every day. Sometimes it answers.

The city I live in is very beautiful, and some would say that just being here is a spiritual experience. This causes a lot of transient individuals to come in droves, and they typically don't leave. It is not uncommon for this sort of thing to happen at least twice a year. troublemakers that just don't want to do any good, and essentially have to be run out of town.
        *thinks about that one*

Do they use torches and pitchforks? Or did the town folk upgrade to guns and grenades?

Fan. Freaking. Tastic. I love how even if the face of being proven wrong he flips it with schizophrenic levels of paranoia by insinuating that you shot a video just in case you ran into someone claiming to be santa on a parade.

... I know that word... why do I know that word? Sounds like a Simpsons reference...

I really enjoyed reading this thread.

              Thank you.

May I ask what city this took place in?

I don't know... I've gone through quite a few layers of suck..

                  First it was troublesome topsoil...
                  Then it was biatchy backfill...
                  Then it was crappy clay...
                  Then it was OMG obsidian...
Now I'm about a good 10 feet into the hard ignorant igneous rock.

How much farther do I have to go, and what's next?

After you break through that layer you'll come to moronic metamorphic rock and eventually break through to the livid lava.
