not to threadjack infinite monkeys but had my own experience this morning.
Due to a long battle with whatever is going around in my area I caved and went to the local walk in clinic. was given the usual meds and proceeded to my local wally world to drop off said prescriptions and pick up a few needed items while waiting.
Hubby and Baby were with me.
Finished shopping checked out, got right behind the line but separate from it as I was getting my purse as my id was needed for one of the items. Elderly man "cuts" in front of me. Hubby was bothered by it, I didn't see until he mentioned it and I let it go as we were not officially in line and I was suggesting he load up baby and groceries and wait for me in the car.
My turn comes around not a long wait. I had three, two from the dr's office and a third I'd not been able to pick up, standard birth control. I said ok I can wait a few minutes. (she said they had to re-scan the third item, what does that mean?)
15 minutes pass there was one other person who had been waiting longer than me, i got in line after she had gone through and been told its still being processed. So I get in line and this other elderly gentleman just walks up to the counter like its nothing and proceeds to hog the ONE person working the front. (All others were either behind filling prescriptions, one person at the drop off counter and ONE person doing medicine self facing. short staffed today thus busy)
I said nothing because it wouldn't do me any good and they could deny me my meds.
The one time he turned around as I was staring at his back I looked away but he did see how angry I was. I still said nothing. He got asked to move aside as his meds weren't ready either. I apologized loud enough for him and the woman working the counter asked to please let me pick up the two that are ready because my hubby is waiting on me and thank you.
All in all not a bad ending and I did feel bad for staring at the guy but still. If you see one person is in line how does that make it right to just cut?
