I like long hair, but it has to be good hair. Short hair is fine, too. Depends on the guy, the hair, and how it works with the guy's face and look.
Took me a while to get used to it when the husband finally cut his this past year. It looks great, but I've known the guy for about 20 years, and he had hair like Slash the entire time. His hair is thick, shiny jet black, and falls in tight curls like telephone cables. When we started dating, it was halfway down his upper arms. Georgeous.
He's greying at the temples, and the grey hair is not curly, so it looks kind of wild. So he cut it into a bushy short cut. It's cute!
While it was long, my mother and my grandmother used to drive me nuts complaining about his long hair. It really used to piss me off. I always told them, "go tell HIM you think he needs a cut, I don't want to hear it!" Of course, they never had the nerve to tell him to his face. It used to annoy the crap out of me. His own mother hated it, too. Once she said "Why don't you tell him to cut it?" And I responded with "Because I like it. And because I don't tell him what to do with his own hair." Really, why all the angst about a guy's hair legnth? It was clean, it was healthy, and it looked great. So what? Here I have a man who treats me like royalty, is responsible, works hard, is a great provider, and all these woman can think to say is he needs a HAIRCUT????
