"I need my receipt"

So I am in a gas station convenient store talking with the clerk behind the counter, when this blond mild aged woman walks up to the counter and even though i am trying to make a purchase asks the clerk for a gas receipt. I decide to be nice and just let the clerk take care of it. And here is what happened.........

Clerk: I need the card you used to get your receipt

SC: You need my card? (said with a prissy attitude)

Clerk: Yes I need your card so the computer can print a receipt.

SC: But I already swiped it at the pump.

Clerk: I understand that but I need to swipe it in here so my computer can give a receipt.

SC: OMG THAT IS SO STUPID! (She say as storming out of the store)

After she had left I told the clerk I felt sorry for him having to deal with customers like that.

As I left the store I saw the lady driving away. I guess the receipt just wasn't worth all that extra effort of walking to her car and back to the store.

Ello, Hubby, welcome to CS!

I admit, that is a bit strange. I've never been asked for my CC, just the pump number. Though if she left the pump and someone started pumping gas after her, then I can see the need to look up the receipt by CC number. Still very sucky of her to have the attitude.

You know, back in the day we didn't have the technology to reprint reciepts and do all that fancy stuff. And she wants to go and complain about the necessary processes needed to be done to give her that luxury. Bah!
