This incident happened over the winter break when the university I work at as a contract parking attendant was closed. The only people working at the university were campus police. Campus police work 24/7 365 days a year.
*Nancy* from the parking office (not her real name) told me when I got to Dispatch to get the key to the Visitor parking booth & sign the log book that the Visitor parking entrance gate was lying on the ground inside the garage.
She turned to the guy working in Dispatch & said "yeah...someone got drunk on New Year's eve & ran into the Visitor parking entrance gate."
Too bad there are no cameras at the Visitor parking garage.
The 2 gates next to the Visitor parking booth have to be raised after the 2nd shift ends.
