Quickie here. I was on a train this morning, and it was 4 AM so I was a bit tired. This may be a bit my fault too but ah well. I had done research on what my fare would be (4.50) and when the conductor came I bought the ticket I wanted and it was 5.25. I hadn't looked at the ticket, but later I realized it had been written for the stop before mine, which cost 5.25. When I returned and bought the ticket back they charged 4.50. When I asked the conductor and showed him my earlier ticket he said "well you can go to our office and explain it to them. But it won't do you any good cause you can't prove that."
Now I realize it's partly my fault for not checking more closely, but would it have killed the guy to say "I apologize for what happened?"
