but still pretty damned sleezy.
I'm staying in Vegas for my honeymoon and I can't afford the minimum bets at my resort or the ones close by, so when I saw an ad for the Sahara saying they did $1 blackjack I hopped the first SDX out there and come in to find that there was only one table that does $1 blackjack and that dealer was on break and there was already a waiting list already for once they got back. All the other tables were in the $5 to $10 range, which I'm sorry there is no way that I (or probably anyone else in their right mind) would travel from the south side of the strip to the Sahara for a $5-$10 blackjack. I asked one of the dealers at an open table if there was any possibility of them honoring the lower minimum bet since that table was closed and of course, nope won't do it, but will gladly let me play at the higher rate.
While this may be a management thing, whenever we've gone out to Wendover, if there is no space at a lower limit table and there is space at a higher limit table, the dealers are normally willing to let you play at the lower limit there until a spot opens at the lower limit table. Hence why I feel no guilt with just walking out and deciding that I would probably never return to the Sahara.
