I was at a casino today, I am 24years old following behind my father we go up to the players club to grab a map ask a quick question and walk away.
A security card apparently motions me over, don't see him as well i don't respond to vague hand signals. It isn't until I'm walking away and get a HEY!!! YOU, and only because I working a C-store and deal with idjots who don't know how to properly get attention do I bother to turn around. and am told to get over here, "DO you have your ID?"
I pull it out, and he scolds me for ignoring him.... yes because you never bothered to make an attempt to stop leaning on the wall until I was standing up in front of him and he decided to lean in on me to look tough as I was realizing at 5 9 I'm still taller than him.
While I get security needs to make sure, the underage aren't gambling, there are MUCH more polite ways to gain ones attention. I think something along the lines of "Excuse me sir, I would like to see your ID so you can prove your 21" not "Hey you!!!", especially when I am just casually following behind my father. Whole experience kind of ruined my trip and I think I'm gonna write a letter to the management to let them know that thanks to Jay, that is my first impression of their staff and the only one I really remember, everyone else was much more friendly but considering this was the first 5 min I was there, I should have asked for his ID because he barely looked old enough for his fancy name tag (which later I realized I should ahve grabbed the employee number)
So, do I have a right to be a little bit upset for how I was treated? I mean honestly had it not been a bus trip and I was stuck there for 6 hours, I would have given him the bird after showing him my ID and went somewhere else.
