The Lost Pizza Boy

Today was Inventory Day (ugh) at my Aid of Rite and so our DM decided to order pizza for us (yay!). He ordered from "Dice" pizza. It took a little while for the "Dice" delivery guy to show up so when he arrived we asked him what happened.

"Um, I went into (local well known pizza place down the street)."

"You went to (pizza place) and asked if they ordered from you?"

"Um, yeah."

"BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

The kicker was that on the slip, it listed "Aid of Rite" as the delivery location. Our building is huge, ugly tan, has a big "Aid of Rite" sign out front. Local Pizza Place is red and has a HUGE sign out front saying Local Pizza Place.

FAIL.

No, Aid of Rite and Pizza Place are totally different, they don't even start with the same letter, don't have the same sound, nothing. The only thing I can think of is that the numbers on the address are similar. We are at xxxx street, Pizza Place is at yyyx street.

A bit O/T, but I wonder who designed the "Dice" logo. Anyone remotely familiar with casino games would recognize that pattern of spots as "craps" - not the sort of message a pizza company wants to convey about their product.

Actually the logo is a tile from a formerly well-known game. I say "formerly" since you are obviously not aware of it.

There are at least 3 variations (with different numbers of tiles) of that game. The one with the smallest set (double 6) has 36 tiles, so there are 34 possible tiles they could have used for their logo without having the "craps" pattern.
