  • Let's intentionally damage someone's expensive property. That sounds fun.

Yesterday my husband and I went to Michaels (craft store) for some things. We had enough stuff that we rolled our purchases out in our shopping cart out to the parking lot to load up our car. As we were approaching our car, I saw, from a ways across the parking lot, a pair of arms forcefully shove a shopping cart across the lot and right toward a couple of parked cars. The cart was gaining speed fast (going down a very slight incline) so I sprinted across the lot and grabbed it before it could hit the nearby cars.

When I got the cart under control, I looked around but didn't see anyone in the direction that the cart came from. And I hadn't seen them clearly when they shoved the cart, since most of their body was obscured by the car that we had parked next to, all I could see was the person's arms shoving the cart. None-the-less, I yelled out, "Whoever shoved this cart right at these cars is a jerk!" and my husband added, "And my wife is a hero for saving those cars from damage!" I blushed and returned both the stray cart and our cart to the store.

Seriously? Who the hell shoves a cart directly at someone else's car? It's bad enough when people just leave carts laying all over parking lots, but to purposely push it toward someone else's vehicle is just ridiculous.

Probably the same jerks who left a giant sticky lollipop on the windshield of my husband's Solstice.

Good job saving the cars! I'm sure that the owners would appreciate your efforts if they knew. Since they likely don't, I'll appreciate you on their behalf. Hooray, MaggieTheCat!

My dad was once driving under some kind of bridge or overpass, and a couple of teenagers up above dropped a rock on his windshield. Luckily all it did was make a big crack, or my dad could have been killed. He called the police, but the kids had already run away. I have no idea why some kids think this kind of thing is funny.

He certainly could have been killed. It was just in the news here, someone dropped a shopping cart out of the 4th floor of a mall this past Sunday. It landed on someone on the street level, who is now in hospital with massive injuries. Turned out to be a couple 12-year-olds who sneaked out to go hang out at the mall, who are now charged with juvenile assault.

Good save on preventing damage to the cars. Too bad you didn't catch the prick though.

My brother in law was driving a back road when someone shot out the rear window of his pick-up. He chased the guys through the woods, who happened to be some 13 yo boys with bb guns who led him straight to their house! This kids were scared shitless and the parents paid for the damage.

My sister, niece and nephew were in a serious accident because someone did the same thing and the cart flew into the street right in front of my sister. Thanks for stopping something similar from happening.

Several years back, this kinda thing happened here. Kids dropped a rock or something like that from the overpass and hit a guy's windshield, and it ended up blinding him. I think they got caught and charged. It's been a while.

What on earth makes people think that this is OK?

Good for you, Maggie! We had some punk kids who would do this when i worked at WM, they thought they were soooo funny, and so did their parents. Yes the parents approved. In my area we had kids who would put a rock in a snowball and throw them at carts.

The same punks who think its funny to piss in a public pool. The same punks who, if the same were ever done to them, would cry for the Waah-ambulance so loudly that toddlers would tell them to shut up.

Someone should throw a trolley, and the book at them.

Then there's the flip side of that type of story:

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego police say a boy throwing rocks at vehicles was struck in the abdomen by a crossbow bolt fired by a passenger in small sport utility vehicle.

Officer Dino Delimitros says the boy and a friend were throwing rocks in the Linda Vista neighborhood Monday afternoon.

Police say the boys got on a bus. When they got off, two teenage boys in a black Toyota RAV4 drove up and one of them fired the crossbow, hitting one boy in the abdomen.

The boy has been treated and released from the hospital. His age has not been released.

Police don’t know if the RAV4 had been hit by rocks.
This was posted Aug. 30 on the KING 5 news website.

Must have been the same asshole who did it while my hubbie and I were walking into the entrance of smith's yesterday.

We grabbed a cart by our car (cuz people are too lazy to take them back where they belong) and walked up to the entrance where a cart came flying out of the entrance. Hubbie and I both bolted towards it because there were cars driving and cars in the lot. SO RUDE!!! Don't worry our cart didn't go anywhere. But what the hell?

Hubbie caught it and brought it inside with us and gave it to some old man who was asking for one

I Yelled: What douchebag did that!?

Nobody said anything and I didn't see the culprit.
