As an aside, Blazing Saddles is ideal for a report on the old West.

This is a very educational movie. It showed employment in Roman Times: "Oh, a bullshit artist. Did you try to bullshit last week?"
It's not bullshit. It's Standup Philosophy
They say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently, God thinks I'm a bad ass.

Ha ha. I love that movie. I would loved to have been a fly on the wall in that house when they viewed that DVD.

I was never sensored as a child (save for porn) it always amused me that the older I got the more and more I understood and got alot of the jokes and gags in movies.
            Same for me.

When sis and i were younger we use to watch Wizards and Warriors cos we liked the action and thought the hero & his male enemy were both cute. Years later Mom told us that it was pulled for being too suggestive .... but that we weren't getting the jokes. Supposedly she asked us, "Did you get that?" after one scene and we replied, "Get what? "

So... yeah it could have been interesting indeed if he'd seen the movie.

My favorite is the throwaway joke where Gregory Hines meets Oedipus and says, "What's up, motherfucker?"

              And Jews in Space.

Reminds me once of when I worked at Blockbuster, we always had teenagers renting movies based on books so they wouldn't have to read the book. One kid asked if there was a movie version of Heart of Darkness. I gave him Apocalypse Now.

Well, it IS based on the book.
