A quickie:
I was at the register in a craft store today behind this woman and all seemed well, She was chatting with the teenaged male cashier and laughing etc.
As I move up, and she finishes, she scans her receipt and gets really angry.
"These were supposed to ring up ON SALE and they DIDN'T! I TOLD YOU to look out for that!" (It was a difference of like, 2 dollars.)
The kid was stammering something about the computer and he's sorry but he can only obey the computer and directed her to customer service and she spat "Yeah THANKS" in the snottiest voice.
What makes someone go from joking around to MEANY BO BEANY in such a short time? Over something so stupid? And if it was so damned important to her you'd think she'd keep an eye as he scanned her stuff.
He was pretty upset. I told him not to worry and I understand.
I hope I made him feel better.
