Rude girl needs a lesson in manners.

You just don't say that to someone grieving. Anyone wanna bet she hasn't had anyone real close die yet? (yet cause someone will at some point.)
Both sets of my grandparents have died, most recently my dad's mom last month, and I'd have flipped if someone said that too me. My customers were amazing when I told them (I was off for 4 days to see her before she died).

      Not rude in the slightest.

I am so sorry for whats happening. Losing family is never easy.

If/when it happens, I hope its painless and peaceful.

It happened last night about 10:45. I was the only family member there.

*hugs* Gazebo. Glad that you were there.

We don't seem to be doing so well on CS for family health these days.
I am so SO glad I was not present for this. There would have been an unpleasant duct tape incident. - Joi

It was weird. I went over there yesterday morning to try to feed him his breakfast, but the nurses had already fed him as much as he wanted to eat. And then he threw it up when they came in to clean him and reposition him.

According to my mom, who came by around lunchtime, he didn't have much of an appetite, and he didn't have much appetite for supper either. She said he was asking for me. That was the one thing that lodged in my mind and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I had to go into work last night so I went, and talked to my boss. He agreed to let me do a "leave and return" to go spend a couple of hours with my dad, so I went.

I went in and he was sleeping, so I didn't wake him up. I just got a book from the hospice lounge, took off my boots and read until the nurses came in to clean him, change his diaper, and roll him over. I should have stepped out but I didn't, and in the end I was glad I didn't because he passed while they were working with him.
