  • Poor doggy :(

This happened about fifteen-twenty minutes ago. On our way to my appointment, the traffic suddnely slowed to a halt. Two trucks, a green on and one of the city trucks sporting a flashing yellow light on top were parked and one of the drivers (assuming the green truck driver) was standing in the road motioning us oncoming drivers to stop.

Behind him was a siberian husky standing nearly paralyzed and I heard howling pain. It took me a minute to realize that a dog was hit and looked around, thinking there was a second dog and that it was hit. Only to realize it was husky howling and it was the victim!

Another guy (possibly green truck's friend) runs out to the dog to scoop up once all traffic has stopped while green truck driver popped the tailgate open so his friend can put the dog inside and take it to an emergency vet.

Once the dog was out of danger and the driver was out of the road. We continued on our way. We're not sure if they hit the dog and they pulled over to help or if it was a hit and run and they are innocent. Dunno why the city truck was there but prolly to make sure nothing happens.

Nevertheless kudos for them to stop and help the dog. Also kudos to the other oncoming drivers actually stoppig and not blowing off the situation, making it more dangerous and worse.

Hope the dog will be okay, I didn't see any blood though.

Aww, poor doggy. Glad they stopped to help it.
